Anne offers sports specific and general therapeutic massage therapy. Her focus is not only the muscular system with movement in mind, but importantly the fascial system connecting the body as a whole, to achieve natural elasticity, working through the ‘kinks’ enabling efficient and healthy movement. We move as a whole so we need to work with the whole for problem/pain free movement and downtime.
Working with athletes and everyday ‘movers’ to aid and promote healthy efficient movement, recover from the endeavors of training and everyday life, to restore the body and prevent injuries and pain.
Recover, Restore, Prevent, Maintain.
Whether you consider yourself an athlete or an everyday mover – Optimization and Longevity are the key! Healthy movement, mobility, general preparedness and individual mindfulness of efficient movement and general posture.
Anne was drawn to a career in Sports Massage Therapy through experiencing effective bodywork throughout her time as a professional triathlete. Her appreciation of the benefits helped develop a deeper understanding and interest in the human body and a desire to work with others in a way she had benefitted herself. As a lifelong athlete Anne has also experienced various injuries and faced the challenges of working through suboptimal situations which has also helped with an appreciation of the best approach to promote healing along with how movement can be helpful in the healing process.
Anne has a workspace inside IronWolf Training gym, 700 Harris Street, Charlottesville. Contact Anne for more information or to schedule an appointment.

"I have had many sports massages over my decades of running, but none that match up to those from Anne Pike. As an accomplished ultra runner, triathlete and long-time sports massage therapist, Anne brings something unique to the massage table: deep tissue massage coupled with running wisdom, from tips on training and recovery to nutrition. I consider my regular massage sessions an essential part of staying healthy and thriving as a runner."
“This is not a spa massage…Anne offers a physical/medical therapeutic treatment. My UVA physical therapist recommended her after I broke my femur and needed long-term body work to return to trail running. I have seen her every other week for four years, and can’t imagine ever living without this help I need to stay flexible and prevent future injuries. As an accomplished ultramarathoner, Anne understands the unique challenges that athletes and active people face as they age. She helps me work through problems before they become acute, and her holistic approach to health informs the useful advice she gives. I spend three hours a month with her, and she has become a friend because I enjoy our time together.”
